Turbo Mills

Turbo Mills are Attrition Mills and Impact Mills. The material is centrically fed into the V-shaped grinding chamber. The particles are speeded up by a fast rotating impeller. Size reduction is done by impact and friction and high frequency air whirling. Baffle rings of different inner diameter determine the air throughput and how long the material will stay in the machine, thus influencing the degree of size reduction. Water cooled grinding chamber for heat sensitive materials.

Features

  • Screen-less operation. No additional sifting necessary
  • Optimized, wear resistant grinding path
  • Finest powders without using nitrogen
  • Low grinding temperature due to optimum air conduction
  • Fully-automatic continuous operation
  • Adjustable particle size
  • Very small grain size distribution, due to V-shaped grinding chamber and exchangeable grinding segments of different profiles
  • Specially important to the chemical industry
  • Optional water-cooled housing, no contact between material and water
  • X-proof -optional.

Operation

The pulverizing mechanism of Turbo-mill is due to the percussion caused by high speed revolution of the wings, the innumerable ultra-violent vortexes which break out behind the ravoluted wings, and the high-frequency-vibrarting air caused by these vortexes, besides the usual pulvarizing mechanism of simple impact and shearing. As the results, any brittle material could be pulverized into the several microns, and any sticky or elastic materials and heat-sensitive materials could be processed to the satisfactory extent.
