Slide Gates
Slide Gate is designed for shut off and throttling in difficult abrasive and/or high solids slurry service. The standard round port configuration is used for on/ off service and the optional diamond port configuration is used for throttling. Available with a handwheel or automated, and it has the unique ability to operate in a static column of solid particles and powders. The opening in the slide gate merely moves a disc of material laterally then returns it when the slide gate is reversed. Consult factory for shut off capability with standard and optional seats.
These versatile Valves are designed for a wide range of gravity flow applications. All share the same one-piece cast housings and heavy duty components that ensure reliable low maintenance operation for many years. Slides are sealed internally by a replaceable polyurethane or steel wiper ring. The end of the slide plate is sealed with an adjustable packing gland. Between the two seals is a wiper blade that ensures long seal life. Both the inlet and outlet Flanges are drilled and tapped with identical patterns to simplify installation. A range of Actuators are available to accommodate most applications.
Uses
Slide gate are used especially for transporting the powder, pellet matter and other bulk material in petrochemical, chemical, food and medicine industry etc. They are mainly used in cutting or transport.
