INOX Tanks
INOX Tanks are generally used for storing wine. Besides they can naturally be used for storing other, especially edible liquids. Inox is a French term for stainless steel.
By applying INOX wine-storage tanks, you can avoid the ailments of wine causing bad taste which emerge because of contact with air, especially when wine is stored in non-full barrels. After decanting the wine aged in wooden barrels and handled correctly into a stainless wine tank, it can be stored for a long time without further decantation.
The wine is sealed by the tank's floating lid and by the paraffin oil fill-up between the lip of the floating lid and the tank nappe (approximately 2dl of paraffin oil are enough for 100 liters of wine). The clear paraffin oil, perfectly neutral with respect to color and taste, protects the wine from air during the storage.
Advantages
- It is not necessary to decant wine so often and less wine barrels are needed.
- Instead of a wine-taster, the wine can be drawn conveniently to either bottles or glasses.
- The danger of contagion with wine-taster is excluded.
- You will have healthy and clean wine while applying less oenological chemicals. It is easy to move the light-weight tanks and keep them clean.
- The stainless tank is a one-time investment but means a lifetime solution for the viticulturist who can save considerable time and energy.
