Dock Bumpers
Dock Bumpers protect the dock from the impact force of backing trucks/trailers, that can cause structural damage to the loading dock, dock equipment and building. The impact force of an approaching truck/trailer can generate up 300,000 lbs. of impact force. The impact resilience and strength of dock bumpers can aid in preventing damage from occurring.
Common Features
- Tough plies of truck tire material virtually eliminates chipping or abrasion, unlike molded rubber, extruded rubber, conveyor belting or wood plank bumpers.
- Attractive deep black color enhances a neat, professional architectural look.
- Manufactured under pressure exceeding 1,500 lbs. to absorb over 80% of impact force.
- Anchor bolts are protected by at least 3” of rubber to prevent damage.
Typical Advantages
- Provides protection against vehicle damage to docks, buildings and cargo.
- Absorbs over 80% of truck impact and shock to protect dock and building.
- Eliminates costly repairs from severe shock to docks.
- Constructed to last and provide years of protection.
- Anchored through thick steel angles to provide stability and shape retention.
- Performs on any truck dock under any weather condition or prolonged exposure
Common Types
Molded Dock Bumpers
Molded dock bumpers are perfect protection for any low traffic truck dock. Molded bumpers make great In-plant wall protection from forklifts and other material handling vehicles.
Laminated Dock Bumpers
Laminated Dock Bumpers are maintenance free, weather resistant, and prevent damage to trucks, loading docks, and buildings by providing protection against impact of the trailer backing into the Dock Sill.
Extra Length laminated loading dock bumpers
Extra Length laminated loading dock bumpers are primarily used in conjunction with dock seals. The dock seal and the dock bumper interact to totally seal the truck to the loading dock. These dock bumpers are maintenance free, and extremely weather resistant.
Extruded Dock Bumpers
Extruded Dock Bumpers are appropriate for outdoor or indoor protection. Use them for commercial loading docks, parking garages, and marinas. Extruded dock bumpers are also used on tow trucks, trailers and heavy duty construction equipment. Extruded dock bumpers are great for wall protection from forklifts, and other material handling vehicles.
