Vertical Shaft Impactors or VSI Crushers are are effective in reducing rock to fine mesh size
Principle
Upon entering a vertical shaft impactor, material is accelerated by the centrifugal action of the revolving centre rotor, and thrown outwards against the corrugated breaker plates. On impact against these plates the material explodes, resulting in a very high proportion of the rock being reduced to fine mesh size.
Features
- Tonnages up to 350 t/hr
- By increasing the operating speed of the machine different size reductions can be achieved.
- All working parts are of Ni-Hard and replacement can be effected within minutes.
- Longer wear life of consumable components.
- Dust control system using positive and negative air pressures inside main chamber.
