Defiberizers

Defiberizers are used to extract fibers to make to be used in industrial applications and materials. Coconut that are made into husks are examples of these applications.

Process

Fiber separation is achieved by compression and shearing forces in the regions containing reverse thread screw components. The geometry of these reverse screws can be varied to suit the desired application. Investigations have shown that several shearing modules with different geometries are required for a proper fiber separation to be achieved.
