Pressure Limit Valves are also called over-load protectors or gauge savers. The pressure limit valves cuts off pressure rising above the desired pressure value (pre-set value) thus preventing failure of pressure gauge or instruments and also stops possible damages such as hazardous leakages and explosions etc. The pressure limiting valve or gauge saver shuts off the system with quick and positive action of built in push-rod device. As and when, the pressure falls below the pre-set pressure value, the line and/or the pressure gauge will be automatically put into operation again. The pressure limiting valve is of extreme importance and necessity for the protection of the pressure sensitive instruments against over pressures, sudden line induced pressure surges which are principal causes of the instrument and subsequent system failure. The pressure limiting valve can be supplied to function at different cut-off pressure values on special request. The repeat accuracy of the unit depends on the rate of pressure rise. However, an accuracy of ± 10% of the set pressure may be expected.Pressure limit valves influence the pressure within a hydraulic system and safeguard the system against excessive pressure or limit the working pressure. Sequence Valves generate a constant pressure difference between inlet and outlet, while the flow in opposite direction (reflow) is unhindered due to a by-pass check valve. A significant advantage of these valves is their easily to manufacture mounting hole.

Applications

Pressure limit valves are a legacy product ideal for retrofitting or maintenance purposes. Pressure Limiting valves can be fitted to the inlet side of a water heater installation and control the supply to a water heater to a preset maximum pressure. In doing so the valve prevents an over pressure condition within the heater. This valve is recommended to be used where water supply pressures are higher than the rated working pressure of the water heater or other household appliances. The pressure limit valve will control the supply water pressure to a safe working pressure for the household, regardless of variations in inlet supplies.
