High Tonnage Breakers have compact design that saves space and eliminates the need for secondary crushing and extra handling. Elimination of the secondary crusher and associated material handling reduces both capital and operating costs and improves product quality. Reduced handling also results in fewer fines.

Design

High Tonnage Breaker has two upper and two lower rolls. The housing, flywheel drives and motor assemblies are positioned for product control by means of two heavy duty oil/nitrogen cylinders.

The assembly is mounted on a carriage for ease of product control and movement for passing tramp-iron. Oil is used to position rolls for product size and inert gas functions as a "gas spring" to allow tramp-iron passage.

Rolls are fabricated from steel tubing with a hard-faced coating. Rolls are available with replaceable bolt-on segments for extra-tough service. Customized roll and tooth designs are available for longer wear-resistance and higher performance.

Upper Rolls – chisel tooth with intermittent grab teeth design efficiently pre-break and feed material to lower rolls.

Lower Rolls – chisel tooth design can be tungsten-carbide tile faced, provide high-capacity crushing with minimal maintenance required. Bolt-on segmented design shown.
