V Plough Scrapers can plough material off on either side left or right. A stabilizer bracket is added onto the unit for stability. The blade moves up and down in a vertical plane, making contact with the belt at a fixed angle. To change the angle of the blade, the arms are positioned on opposite sides. To install the unit no special tools are required and quick fixing brackets are supplied. The V Plough scraper is fitted on the return belt near the tail end pulley, to clear material that could fall from the top belt, thus preventing damage to both the belt and the tail pulley. The “V” shape ploughs material off on either side of the belt, and the swivel action of the fixing brackets and arms, allows the scraper to self-adjust. A safety roller is built into the scraper and prevents the point of the scraper from digging into the the conveyor belt. Installation of this scraper is very simple, whereby no bolt holes are required.

V Plough Scrapers

Features

A V Plough Scraper comes with a specially formulated polymeric blades give maximum life, and keep the possibility of damage to belt repairs, splices and metal fasteners to a minimum. Its blade design ensures optimum combination of flexibility and stiffness to adapt to belt profile. The V-base blade mounting makes blade changing simple, eliminating the need to remove the scraper from its mountings. Its specific mountings allow the scraper to maintain a constant pressure on the belt and greatly extend adjustment intervals. Also available is the standard adjustable mounting.

Applications

A V Plough Scraper ensure maximum removal of wet and fine carryback. These scrapers are specifically designed for use on belts using metal fastener systems and are Ideally suited for conveyors where belts of differing thicknesses have been joined together.

It can be used in conjunction with torsion arm mountings to accommodate different belt thicknesses on the same conveyor and excessive belt movement due to pulley eccentricity, thereby ensuring constant pressure with the belt.

Advantages

  • Easy installation
  • Robust construction
  • Hardwearing polyurethane blades
  • Easy adjustment
