Hot Briquetters are Briquetters used in processes that are high in temperature, such as in metal processing. Hot briquetting takes place at feed material temperatures between 250 and 900°C. The volume of briquettes produced in hot briquetting typically is between 20 and 150 ccm.
Common Applications
Briquetting of sponge iron from direct reduction to produce HBI (hot briquetted iron), an internationally traded replacement for scrap for the steel industry.
Briquetting of steel mill waste materials for environmentally sound recycling.
