Biconical Mixers are used in preparation and handling of raw materials for chemical and pharmaceutical industry. These mixers offer a gentle mixing and homogenizing process without shear, based on a solids / solids and solids / liquid mixing system, in powder, flakes or granulate form.

Biconical Mixers

Common Working Principles

Slow rotating drum, that makes the product slide down gently on the smooth internal walls, performing a non forced mixing effect.

The constructive mode, measurements and shape of the main body of this mixer, make each unloading exhaustive, thus giving total guarantee that not unwanted deposits of material remain in the interior of the machine.

The blender must be stopped for loading or unloading. The product is introduced by one of the apertures and the barrel is set to turn.

By effect of gravity and centrifugal forces the mixing progresses accordingly to time and speed of rotation. Once the mixing has been achieved, the vessel is stopped and the unloading done by way of the opposite opening.Different grades of homogeneity in the final product can be reached changing the rotation speed of the blender. This type of mixers is conceived for non continuous processes, automatically or manually controlled. All the mechanical elements are calculated to achieve an steady running and a long, adjustment free, working life.

Typical Features

  • Capacities from 10 a 35.000 liters
