Gross Weighing Systems

Gross Weighing Systems eliminate weight differences of empty baking-forms within the weighing process. It guarantee a correct net filling-weight for each baking form and automatically adjust filling-volumes of dough-fillers.

Principal Functions

Gross weighers consist of two weighing systems which operate independently of each other. The gross weight system which is installed previous to the filling machine registers weights of empty containers or packages and puts that information into a data memory. The gross weight system installed behind the filling machine computes the gross weight and subtracts the appropriate empty weight of the same container or package from the previous gross weight which was measured and stored in the data memory. The difference of both is equal to the net filling weight. Both weighing systems have one common operating system with two entry channels. Gross weighers are constructed in a way, that empty forms, containers or packages are stopped within the production line for approximately 1 to1.5 seconds while they are pneumatically lifted out of their transport-chain in order to be weighed.
