HOSOKAWA MICRON

Horizontal ribbon mixer
Ribbon Mixer principle

Horizontal Ribbon Mixers Circulate all of the load. Materials are continually circulated from end to end of the mixer's tank as well as top to bottom. horizontal mixer has both the room and strength to handle many types of material, dry or liquid. Precision mixing is accomplished in far less time, rate of discharge is much faster and clean out is thorough.

Horizontal Ribbon Mixers are a new type of mixing equipment with high efficiency, high uniformity, high load factor, low energy consumption, low pollution and little destruction to frangible material. It is widely used to mix powder-powder and powder-liquid, especially materials that are paste, viscous or with big specific gravity such as putty, stone coatings, metal powders etc. It is currently applied in industries of pharmacy, food, pesticides, dyes, chemicals, plastics, ceramics, paint, putty, mortar etc.

Working principle

Horizontal ribbon mixer consists of transmission parts, double ribbon agitators and U-shape cylinder. In the direction of rotation, the outer ribbon pushes materials from both ends to the middle, while the inner ribbon pushes materials from the middle to both ends. Ribbon wind with different angle direction carries the materials flowing in different directions. Through continuous convective circulation, the materials are sheared and mixed thoroughly and quickly
