The Truncone Mixer is a Vertical Ribbon Blender especially designed for mixing of free flowing and / or cohesive powders. The Truncone mixer is a convective mixer which creates low to medium shear forces during the process.
The convective mixing effect is created by the following 3 factors:
- The outer ribbon conveys the material upwards along the vessel wall.
- The continuous movement of the rotor causes a continuous exchange of particles.
- In the center of the mixing chamber, the product is forced to the bottom section by the inner ribbon.
