Rotary Lump Breakers are Lump Breakers that are designed for breaking up friable lumps and agglomerates that have formed in dry powders and granules.
Applications
Lump breakers are commonly used to process powders prior to pneumatic conveying, sifting, blending and feeding, and may be installed in chutes, ducts and conveying systems. They may also be fitted with a hopper for batching operations. On some products, lump breakers may even be used for size reduction. The Lump Breakers have been successfully applied in industries such as Food, Confectionery Chemical, Fertilisers, Plastics and Gypsum. If you have a product with friable lumps that need breaking down then we have two options:- Low speed lump breakers are used to reduce soft friable lumps to a manageable size to feed into pneumatic conveying system or small chutes. They are designed to run continuously and may be flood fed. They are typically used under silos, hoppers and bulk bag dischargers. High speed lump breakers are used to break soft friable lumps back down to near their original constituency. They are ideal for breaking up agglomerated lumps often found in paper sacks and drums. They must operate with a controlled feed and may have screen sizes as small as 1.6mm aperture.
