Dual Plate Check Valve comprises a substantially cylindrical valve body provided with a diametrical cross-member thereby defining a pair of substantially D-shaped apertures, and two substantially D-shaped plates , pivotally connected by a hinge means parallel to said cross-member , and pivotable between a valve open position and a valve closed position in which the sealing face of each plate engages a sealing face provided on a valve seat which surrounds each aperture. A groove is provided in each sealing face which is then filled with a weld inlay ,and then machined to provide a sealing face portion of a more durable metal alloy.
Features
- No water hammer and slamming
- Compact and structurally sound design
- Can be installed horizontally, vertically or in an incline
- Low pressure drop and reduced energy loss irrespective of pressure ratings
- Efficient and positive sealing under most flow and pressure conditions
- Easy to maintain, long life and trouble free operation
